I visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art and checked out the breathtaking exhibition, ABOUT TIME: Fashion and Duration. It traces the evolution of fashion, from 1870 to the present, through a linear timeline of iconic garments and designs It takes place in two galleries conceived as enormous clock faces. I'm not a fashion expert but I truly appreciated how the exhibit demonstrates how a skirt created in 1940 served as inspiration for a skirt designed by Alexander McQueen in 1995. I learned a few things. If you love fashion, I highly recommend this exhibition.
