09/16/2022 - My friend, Lasana, was visiting from Miami. Before going to dinner, we headed over to Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Museum to see their shoe exhibit called Shoes: Anatomy, Identity, Magic. It explores our physical, social and psychological relationship with shoes.
First of all, I don't know much about fashion and shoes. And I'm not a sneaker head neither, lol. But after reading the description of the exhibit on Time Out, I was curious. Plus, I thought that it would be a cool way to spend some time with Lasana.
Let me tell you, the curators did magnificent job! The exhibition begins with baby shoes. Then, it moves from from Jimmy Choo pumps to Air Jordans to Manolo Blahniks heels and has everything in between. Lasana also thought it was cool that every song playing throughout the exhibit was about shoes.
If you love shoes or even fashion, I high recommend visiting the FIT Museum at 227 W. 27th Street, NYC.
